CLEAN-BIOTEC coordinates an international project in collaboration with the Phetchabun Rajabhat University of Thailand for the production of a natural compound that has proven to be very effective against MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus).
The great ability of bacteria to develop resistance makes the treatment of infections much more complex today than at the beginning of the antibiotic age. Specifically, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is one of the most important causes of infections, both community, and hospital, and represents a major clinical and public health problem around the world due to reduced treatment options
The project is funded by the CDTI (Centre for Industrial Technological Development).
