Treatment of soils contaminated with Hydrocarbons
Thanks to the Sorbent project and the EU-funded SORBENT-DEMO demonstration project, a highly efficient, low-cost new technology is available for on-site remediation of hydrocarbon-contaminated soils, either historically or by an accidental discharge.
The technology consists of three components that can be used together or separately and can be applied in any type of soil. During the development of the SORBENT-DEMO project, the technique has been validated through demonstrations under real and small, and large-scale conditions.
As a result of this latest project, where the technology has been validated, the Oil Spill Fix brand has been created for the commercialization of products and services. Detailed information on www.oilspillfix.eu
